Court Informational Videos

Did you know that the Judicial Branch has produced informational videos?  This LINK will take you to a library of 31 videos to help prepare you for being in court.  Topics range from "What to Expect At A Final Domestic Violence Hearing," to "What to Expect at a Court Hearing," to "Legal Definitions," to "What to Expect When Filing or Responding to a Domestic Violence Petition."

These videos are a very helpful resource for anyone who plans to handle their own case.  When you have the opportunity to hire a lawyer to help you with your case, your lawyer will provide you with all of this information, but I find that it is very reassuring to be able to see a courtroom, the judges, and how the actual hearing plays out before you have to go into that courthouse yourself.
